IN THE OMA ASIOINTI SERVICE

To use the Oma Asiointi service, you need online banking credentials, a mobile certificate or an identity card with a chip. Registration in the online service involves several steps. Carefully go through all the steps to keep your job search valid. If your job search is interrupted, your entitlement to unemployment benefit ends.

BY TELEPHONE

You can register as a jobseeker by telephone if you have previously been a jobseeker at the TE Office and wish to start your job search again. The telephone service is open Mon–Fri 9:00–16:15. Tel. 0295 025 500

 

USING THE ONLINE FORM

If you cannot use the Oma Asiointi service or you are not a citizen of Finland or an EU or EEA country, you can register as a jobseeker using the online form.

BY VISITING THE TE OFFICE

If you are a new jobseeker and do not have the opportunity to use the Oma Asiointi service or complete the online form, please visit the TE Office in person. Remember to bring a valid residence permit.

TE Office in Hämeenlinna

When you go to the TE Office for the first time, please bring the following documents with you:

  • your passport or a certificate from the police confirming its temporary possession
  • your residence permit
  • an extract from the Population Register obtained from the Local Register Office or your Kela card or other document showing that you have a Finnish personal identity code
  • your work and school certificates, translated into Finnish, Swedish or English.
